This is the manifold which distributes the hot water to the various heating circuits. I has been set up with three circuits in the living room, two in the kitchen and one in the entrance hall.

Jason’s air-conditioner

After driving through 100 degree temps today (the temp inside our not-air-conditioned vehicle reached 108) Jason decided we should have more comfort when trying to sleep tonight. So he went to Kmart and bought an AC unit for the Vanagon. (Don’t worry, we’re not using this for driving! This is while we are parked at an RV park.) A few bungee cables and some other stuff, and it’s up and running.

This random building on Park Avenue leads me to wonder how air conditioners hardly ever fall onto the sidewalks below.

Basketball Playoffs 2010: Boston Celtics host Miami Heat at the TD Garden, 20 April 2010

Got last minute tickets to the Celtics / Heat playoff game, so took The Boy to his first basketball game — and by the third quarter, he already understood the sport better than his Dad. Good for him.

The Celtics ended up winning, 106-77, putting them up 2-0 in their series against Miami. Good for them, too
